The adventure begins with a swift ride along a single track, traversing 4-wheel jeep roads, and tackling challenging uphill and downhill trails within the National parks. In less than an hour of riding, you'll arrive at semi-rural cultural villages, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local charm. Explore the lush jungles, discover enchanting waterfalls, observe diverse bird species and wildlife, and admire the rich flora and fauna. As you progress, be prepared to witness breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas.
One of the highlights of the tour is the Jamacho Sivapuri National Park biking route, covering a distance of 42 kilometers and taking approximately 4 to 6 hours to complete. Just a short 15-minute ride through traffic roads will bring you to the gate of Jamacho Sivapuri National Park. Please note that an entrance fee is required for both riders and bicycles. Follow the zigzag jeep road that meanders entirely within the park. The road stretches for 21 kilometers and leads to a stunning viewpoint at the top, where a small monastery awaits. From this vantage point, you can relish the magnificent view of the Kathmandu Valley, and on clear days, you'll be treated to a panoramic vista of the distant Himalayan peaks. After a refreshing packed lunch, the journey continues downhill towards Mudkhu, ending with a smooth 2-kilometer ride along a well-paved road that brings you back to the starting gate, eventually returning to your hotel.
The cost of the tour is based on a minimum group size of two people and includes a professional cycling guide with mechanical expertise, the rental of a well-maintained bicycle equipped with a safety helmet, a packed lunch, and bottled water. For an individual rider, the cost is at least $100.
