Upon reaching Tengboche, you visit the iconic Tengboche Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in the Everest region. If chanting or prayers are taking place, you may join quietly to observe the spiritual atmosphere that makes this place so special. From the monastery grounds, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Today you begin your gradual descent from Tengboche, following forested trails and river pathways as you make your way back through the heart of the Khumbu region. After exploring Namche, continue descending along pine forests, mani walls, and suspension bridges, retracing the scenic trail that follows the Dudh Koshi River. After reaching Lukla, settle into your teahouse and enjoy your last night in the mountains. Today you take the morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap, followed by a 6 hour scenic drive back to Kathmandu. If the weather is bad and flights are delayed, your guide can arrange helicopter sharing, usually around 500 USD per person, depending on availability.
After reaching Kathmandu, settle into your hotel, enjoy some shopping in Thamel, and join your group for a special farewell dinner where you receive your trek completion certificate.
Your guide will also explain that flights usually operate via Ramechhap during peak season, while in early or late seasons flights run directly between Kathmandu and Lukla.

A normal fitness level is enough for this trek. You do not need to be an athlete. Expect to walk 5 to 8 hours per day on rocky, uneven, and sometimes steep trails.
The Everest Base Camp Trek reaches a maximum altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet).
Preparing 1 to 2 months before your trek is recommended. You can train by:
